Open-source software (OSS) is central to modern IT, but its supply chains face increasing, and increasingly sophisticated, attacks. This puts IT system effectiveness at risk. The Chainguard Factory secures OSS by delivering hardened, low-CVE artifacts immune from public supply chain attacks. It achieves this by building everything from source and providing signed attestations of provenance and content (SBOMs). This reduces vulnerability management time, allowing teams to focus on their mission.

Dean Dastvar, an IP attorney, will break down what hacking teams need to know about protecting their ideas. He’ll cover common IP traps start-ups, commercial companies and innovators often miss, especially when working with the government. From who really owns the code you write, to how contracts can quietly take away your rights, this session will give you the useful knowledge to keep your innovation safe and set you up for success beyond the hackathon.
